Welcome to Box & Beyond Movers and Cargo Packaging Services LLC (“Box & Beyond”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and services. By booking or using our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Scope of Services
Box & Beyond provides:
- Packing and moving services
- Furniture dismantling and reassembly
- Loading and unloading
- Transportation
- Storage solutions (if applicable)
- Concierge services via third-party partners (cleaning, pest control, painting, AC services, etc.)
2. Booking & Confirmation
- Bookings are confirmed only upon:
- Acceptance of quotation and/or
- Advance payment (if required)
- All service details (date, time, scope) must be confirmed prior to execution
- Last-minute changes may result in delays or additional charges
3. Pricing & Payments
- Prices are based on the scope shared at the time of quotation
- Any additional items, volume, or services on-site may result in extra charges
- Payment terms:
- Full or partial payment may be required in advance
- Remaining balance must be settled upon completion unless agreed otherwise
- We reserve the right to pause or withhold services in case of non-payment
4. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate details of items and scope
- Ensure proper access (parking, elevator booking, permits, security clearance)
- Secure fragile, high-value, or personal items unless agreed otherwise
- Be present (or assign a representative) during the move
Failure to meet these may result in delays or additional charges.
5. Delays & Waiting Time
- Delays caused by:
- Customer readiness
- Building restrictions
- Access issues
may result in waiting charges
- Unforeseen delays (traffic, weather, authority restrictions) will be managed reasonably but are not the company’s liability
6. Damage & Liability Policy
We take utmost care while handling your items. However:
- Minor scratches, dents, or wear-and-tear may occur during transit
- Box & Beyond is not liable for:
- Pre-existing damages
- Improperly packed items not handled by our team
- Electrical/mechanical failures after relocation
Liability Limitation
- Compensation (if applicable) is limited to:
- Repair cost or
- Depreciated value of the item
We do not provide full replacement value unless insurance is explicitly purchased
7. High-Value & Fragile Items
Items such as:
- Cash, jewelry, documents
- Artwork, antiques
- Electronics or delicate items
Must be declared in advance
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse transport
- Or require special handling charges
8. Staircase Carry Charges
In cases where elevator access is unavailable, restricted, or not permitted, and items must be moved via stairs, additional charges will apply.
- Staircase charges are calculated based on:
- Number of floors
- Volume and weight of items
- Number of manpower required
- Standard guideline:
- Charges apply per floor, per item or per load, depending on the scope
- Heavy or bulky items (e.g., sofas, wardrobes, appliances) may incur higher charges
- Customers are required to:
- Inform Box & Beyond in advance if elevator access is unavailable or restricted
- Arrange necessary building permissions where applicable
- If staircase movement is identified on-site and not previously disclosed, Box & Beyond reserves the right to:
- Apply additional charges
- Reschedule the service if required
- Our team may refuse to carry items via stairs if:
- The weight or size poses a safety risk
- The structure or access is deemed unsafe
9. Basement & Long Carry Movement Charges
In cases where items must be transported over extended distances or through basement parking areas, additional charges may apply.
- These charges apply when:
- Basement parking access is used for loading/unloading
- Distance between parking and unit exceeds standard carrying range
- Building restrictions prevent direct access to the unit entrance
- Charges are calculated based on:
- Distance from vehicle to unit (long carry distance)
- Number of manpower required
- Time taken for movement
- Standard guidelines:
- A reasonable carrying distance is included in the base quotation
- Any distance beyond this may be considered as long carry and charged additionally
- Basement movements involving ramps, multiple turns, or restricted access may incur higher charges
- Customers are required to:
- Inform Box & Beyond in advance about basement access, parking limitations, or long walking distances
- Arrange necessary building permissions where required
- If such conditions are identified on-site and not previously disclosed, Box & Beyond reserves the right to:
- Apply additional charges
- Adjust manpower requirements
- Reschedule the service if necessary
- Our team may refuse to proceed if:
- Access conditions pose a safety risk
- Movement is not feasible with available equipment or manpower
10. Insurance (Optional)
- Insurance is not included by default
- Customers may request transit insurance at an additional cost
- Claims are subject to the insurer’s terms and conditions
11. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours prior
- Late cancellations will result in 40% penalty fee of total booking amount
- Rescheduling is subject to availability.
12. Third-Party Services (Concierge Add-ons)
- Services like cleaning, pest control, painting, etc., are delivered via partners
- Box & Beyond acts as a facilitator
- Quality and execution responsibility lies with the respective service provider
13. Health & Safety
- Our team reserves the right to refuse unsafe work conditions
- Hazardous, illegal, or restricted items will not be transported
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay due to:
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Security or unforeseen events beyond our control
15. Use of Website
You agree not to:
- Misuse the website
- Provide false information
- Attempt unauthorized access
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of UAE courts.
17. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
